Anna Hazare's anti-graft campaign got wide coverage in the Pakistani media. Pakistani news websites kept updating the events relating to Anna's groundswell support in various cities of India and his plans to hold a public fast at Ramlila Maidan as and when they unfolded in New Delhi.
Pakistan's prominent news website Dawn.com in its editorial drew a parallel between India and Pakistan on the issue of corruption. "Pakistan is perceived as corrupt not just by the public mindset but also in the findings of the international watchdogs that keep track of such matters," read the editorial.
